When hubby and I bought our first home one of the requirements was a big walk in closet. My dreams were finally answered and if you didn't know I have many clothes to fill it up with. At first I had a bunch of clothing racks in my closet which made it look cluttered plus I had a vanity in the main bedroom area. I wanted to some how combine both into one area so why not the closet!
After researching many different islands I realized I didn't want to pay to much for an island, most were way out of my budget for a really nice one. I ended up using 3 book cases you can get here for a reasonable price. I also bought cubbie hole storage containers here in black, two for each book case. I wanted a nice chandelier for a nice ambience and found a beautiful one here. To give it that mirror furniture look and over all glam feel I added a wall mirror on top of my island.

On top of my island I have displayed some of my makeup with a beautiful crystal cupcake holder I picked up from Home goods, a cute piggy bank lipstick from here and a candle stand.

I absolutely love how my island turned out and now I'm working on the rest of my closet stay tuned for an update post.
